Table Tennis lands on the common

Anyone for tennis? Table Tennis that is ... in addition to the extremely popular basketball courts and outdoor gym, we now have an outdoor table tennis set-up.

I'm really hoping to see some top notch skills on this table, who knows there might be an Olympic champion in the making!

Ducketts Common wins Veolia clean up!

We reported at the last friends meeting that the group had won a competition for a Clean Sweep from the cleaning contractor Veolia.

They are arranging a general tidy up of the Common which starts at 10am on Tuesday 5 June, followed by a Diamond Jubilee party at The Big Green Bookshop off Wood Green High Street.

It would be great if as many of you as are able join us for what should be a fun event, which will enable you (if you are so minded) to celebrate the Queen having been around for ages at the same time as helping the local park and meeting some of your neighbours.

Friday 3 February 2012

Work on the new playground will start on Tuesday 6th February and will last until April. The basketball courts will be closed during this time.

Here is the final design, click on the picture for a larger view.
